The job description and requirements for Instructional Assistants in our district can be found in our district policy GDAAI.

All Instructional Assistants are required by law to have one of the following qualifications:

  1. 60 hours of college credit

  2. Associates degree

  3. Successful completion of the Para Professional Test

These requirements apply to all Instructional Assistant positions, including but not limited to:

  • Computer Lab Managers

  • Library Assistants

  • PE Assistants

  • Classroom Instructional Assistants

  • Migrant Instructional Assistants

  • Title I Instructional Assistants

  • ESL Instructional Assistants
