How it works

• The Public Relations team will select a winning social media post from social media platforms the third week of each month.

• The team will communicate the monthly award winner to the school principal or office director to coordinate the award presentation.

• The team will present the  award the last week of each month at a time and place of the principal’s or director’s discretion.

• The winning post will be announced and featured through district social media platforms and on the district website the last workday of each month during the school year. The campaign will not be featured in the summer.

• The winning post will be featured monthly on this page.
  

#SpringdaleFamily Congratulations to Helen Tyson Middle School girls basketball coach Allison Handy, the January 2025 winner of Springdale Spotlight! She wins a prize pack, including a T-shirt, stickers, a Springdale Spotlight mug and more. In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship and inclusion, Coach Handy made a special substitution in the final play of the game. Fendley, a beloved teammate confined to a wheelchair, joined the action. Having shared countless hours on the court with her friends since second grade, this was a moment of pure joy. With Fendley's assist, the Hellstern Heroes secured a thrilling victory over the Lingle Lions, 25-13.
