Keith Fimple has been named as Springdale Schools’ new executive director of athletics.
“I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to be the executive director of athletics for Springdale Public Schools,” Fimple said.
Dr. Jared Cleveland, Springdale Public Schools superintendent, said he and the district leadership team conducted an extensive search for the right person to fill the athletics director role.
“We took significant input from our secondary administrators and coaches across the district,” Cleveland said. “Our team selected Coach Keith Fimple to advance our system to the next level of excellence.”
The coach comes to the district after serving five years as the Conway High School head football coach, Fimple said. He’s served in education for 27 years, five of which as a Har-Ber High School teacher and coach. Fimple likewise served as Southwest Junior High School’s dean of students.
“Starting a new job can be a challenging experience, but by bringing a positive attitude, adaptability, communication skills, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, you can set yourself up for success,” Fimple said.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and an Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Fimple is well known for his outstanding character, care for all students and deep passion for student success in learning, Cleveland said.
“Coach Fimple is an excellent systems builder and will bring his skills, passion and love for our district back to Springdale,” he said.
The coach will begin his new role as Springdale Schools' executive director of athletics July 1, Cleveland said.
Fimple said he’s married to D'Ann Fimple. The couple are parents to Leah Grace Fimple, 19, and Brock Fimple, 13.
The family loves spending time with family, friends and outdoors, he said.
