Springdale Public Schools has named Noah Balik as the incoming assistant principal of Springdale High School.

“I feel honored to continue to serve the students, staff and community at Springdale High School in this new capacity,” Balik said.

Balik is transitioning to the Springdale High assistant principal position after serving for three years as the school’s Special Education Department chair.

Dr. Jared Cleveland, Springdale Public Schools superintendent, said "Mr. Balik brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role of Assistant Principal for SHS. We look forward to welcoming him to the Springdale Administrative Family."

Balik started his career as an educator 25 years ago, when he accepted a position at an extended child care center as an 18-year-old.

“The rest of my professional career has been in education, and I have held positions as a classified and certified employee in many different settings,” he said. “I’ve learned that there is no small job in education. It takes a team of dedicated people to make a school a great place for students to learn and grow.”

Jason Jones, Springdale High School principal, said he’s thrilled to welcome Balik to the school’s administration team.

“Noah has been a part of the Bulldog family since 2021 and has proven himself as someone willing to go above and beyond,” Jones said. “His exceptional communication skills, coupled with his genuine passion for students, teaching and learning, make him the perfect choice to continue the great work at Springdale High School.”

He’s also previously worked out-of-state as a special education program manager, a special education teacher, a soccer coach and a teacher union vice president.

Balik has earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, as well as special education, building-level and district-level certifications and a Master of Science in special education from National University of San Diego, Calif.

He said he looks forward to contributing to the success of the school’s students.

“I hope to add to the culture of Springdale High School by facilitating a positive and safe learning environment, allowing students to reach their highest potential and taking steps towards the career and life they want to achieve,” Balik said.

He said he’s blessed to have a loving wife and a 6-year-old son, with whom he enjoys kayaking, playing sports and listening to or playing music.

“I really enjoy home improvement projects and making my home a relaxing destination for family and friends,” Balik added.

He said he'd like to thank Dr. Jared Cleveland, the district Administrative Team, the SHS administrative hiring team and all of the fantastic educators at Springdale High School.

"I feel honored to continue to serve the students, staff and community at Springdale High School in this new capacity," Balik said. "I look forward to continuing our traditions and hard-work educating young minds."
