Springdale has long been a state and district leader in music education. The 2019-2020 results are in and Springdale again is setting the pace. Springdale's junior highs -- Southwest, Central, Lakeside and George -- had 165 all-region choir selections and 177 all-region band students. No other district was even close to those numbers. Springdale's high schools -- Springdale, Har-Ber and the Don Tyson School of Innovation -- had 121 students named all-region in choir and 142 selected as all-region in band. Again, no other district was close. In addition, Springdale's high schools had 74 students named all-state in choir and 56 students selected as all-state in band, tops in Arkansas. Congratulations to all of the district band programs! Excellence in music education is another reason Springdale Public Schools are #THEChoice.
