Welcome Nurse Gershner!!!
I received my BSN from the University of Central Arkansas in 1982. I have been a school nurse for 17.5 years. My prior nursing experiences are in coronary care, home health and ambulatory surgery. I love to hunt and fish and adore my 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have one son who graduated from medical school in May and is now in San Antonio for his 5 years of general surgery residency. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and he is a cardiovascular perfusionist. We have lived in Fort Smith for the past 5 years and are so glad to be coming home to Springdale!

Welcome Mr. Pollitt!!!
Originally from San Francisco, CA, I moved to AR in 2000. I attended Berry College in Rome, GA, where I played collegiate soccer and double majored in Economics and Business Administration.
I had a career in sales and marketing for 30 years, which in turn, led me to working with Springdale Public Schools. Through my visiting the various schools within the district, I began to volunteer my time at several schools. It was at this time in 2013 that I realized my passion for making a difference and investing in young students' lives.
In 2015, my wife, Melissa, and I welcomed our daughter, Lyla, to the family. Becoming a parent for the first time further revealed my desire to explore a different career path. After substitute teaching for two years throughout Springdale Public Schools, I worked full-time at Sonora Middle School as the ISS facilitator and LLI assistant. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching through Harding University.
I look forward to being a part of the Archer Aviator crew and helping to guide our students in their future endeavors.
In my free time, my family and I enjoy any outdoor activities, most especially boating, biking and backyard leisure.

Welcome Mr. Brown!
Zach Brown is a music educator beginning his fourth year of teaching in the Springdale School District. He started the music program at Don Tyson School of Innovation three years ago and has spent the past two years serving as the assistant band and choir director. He is excited for the opportunity to start a new program at Archer Learning Center, and is looking forward to this school year teaching choir, and guitar/ukulele ensemble while continuing to serve as an assistant band director at DTSOI.
Mr. Brown is an active performer in Northwest Arkansas and a member of the Arkansas Musicworks Brass Band; a volunteer music ensemble based in NWA and Grand Champion of the 2018 US Open Brass Band Championships.
Mr. Brown received his Bachelors of Music Education from Arkansas Tech University in 2017, and is working towards his Masters of Science in Education from Arkansas State University.
He currently lives in Rogers with his wife Patrice, who is the head band director at Rogers High School, their daughter Olivia, and their pets Barry, Luna and Jack.
