Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for helping us implement our new car rider system. It's getting better each day. We would like to try to dismiss both car rider lines at the same time, instead of one at a time to see if this speeds up the process. That would mean that cars would need to take turns merging around the corner just like everyone already does in the morning during drop off. Also, please make sure to pull forward while in the car lines and not leave big spaces between cars. This will allow us to enter more car numbers into the system and prevent students from having to walk further to get to their car. We will try this today and tomorrow and then reevaluate our plan.

Please take turns entering the car line with vehicles turning left from Chapman. Please have your car tag visible. Once you are in a car lane, please do not switch lanes.

Welcome back to John Tyson Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year! We are excited to see our Tigers again. To ensure your child is prepared for a successful year, we have a $35.00 Classroom Supply Fee. This fee covers supplies for the year and a Tyson t-shirt. Please do not use the supply lists at Wal-Mart. Just simply pay the $35 fee in person or online at https://tinyurl.com/49fdu2t4. Please have your child bring a backpack without wheels and over the ear headphones to school. You may also purchase the S20 Springdale Chromebook Protection Plan Insurance using the link. Tyson Elementary will have our Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 8th from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Students will get to meet their teacher and visit their classroom.
