Third grade students finished a huge fractions unit this week and spent time reflecting on what they have learned. They completed a self-assessment and identified learning targets they mastered and skills they are still learning. We are so proud of their knowledge of fractions and the growth they made during this unit!

Third grade students are learning about ecology in ELD. Today, they worked on writing an informative paragraph about how plants and animals have adapted to survive in the desert climate! Their goal is to write expanded and complex sentences demonstrating their knowledge!

Third Grade students had a special visit from Springdale Rotary Club members, Mr. Rick and Ms. Holly. All students received free books as part of the Rotary Club’s commitment to literacy! We are thankful for their partnership and excited to read our new books!

We had an awesome Read Across America week! We had one parent who is an ILLUSTRATOR come and talk about her kids journal she made, we had our awesome parents come out for PT conferences, and celebrated with pictures at the book fair!

This week they have spent time analyzing and reflecting on their data, growth, favorite memories from the year, and all they’ve learned.
