In the library the kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students had hands-on lessons to introduce students to engineering through a fun, team-based challenge. Students discovered how engineering is used in the world around them, in everything from pencils to highways; then, they completed an engineering challenge with a team of classmates, based on the storybook

Last Thursday Ms.Sotier’s class had an egg hunt to practice adding and subtracting decimals! Students had to hunt for eggs and solve the problems inside. Once they solved all 16 eggs correctly, they got to look for golden eggs which contained prizes!

Fifth graders in Ms. Rhyne's class are reading the book, "Brothers in Hope." They are working on the essential skill of taking notes of important events and ideas in order to improve reading comprehension and answer literal, inferential, and summary questions.
Before lunch, the SEC room takes 15 minutes to calm down and relax from the morning's action. We work on fine and gross motor skills and they are able to express their creativity. In the picture, the students are using bingo dobbers to tap out pictures and have the option to read a simple book instead.
