The Springdale Chamber of Commerce featured the 58th Annual Springdale Chamber Teacher Appreciation Event on Aug. 7 at Springdale High School.
The event included a breakfast provided by McDonalds, a vendor fair with with more than 100 participating businesses, prize giveaways and a ribbon cutting for the school's new gymnasium.
Donated gifts valuing at more than $200,000 were given to Springdale Public Schools' educators! Debbie Keen of Tyson Elementary School and Morgan Montgomery of George Junior High
School each also received $10,000 home makeovers from Sam’s Furniture.
The teacher appreciation event is one of Sam's Furniture's favorite annual events to support said Larra Donaldson with Sam's Furniture.
Volunteers from businesses throughout the community presented the gifts to teachers.
Both Keen and Montgomery were nominated for the home makeovers by district staff and families for their selfless service of others amid trying circumstances.
