What do school counselors do in our schools?

Springdale school counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for all students by implementing a data-informed school counseling program. They are leaders in school safety procedures and actively engage themselves in critical response situations in schools. School counselors are a vital resource in preventing, intervening and responding to crisis situations. They support anti-bullying initiatives and violence prevention to foster a positive school climate and increase school engagement.

In Springdale, school counselors partner with school social workers to assist individuals, families, and the community in overcoming challenges and improving their overall well-being. Counselors and social workers work together to remove barriers to a student’s academic success.
